UK Market Finished higher yesterday, amid weakness in the British Pound and supported by gains in banking sector stocks. Marks & Spencer Group surged 16.5%, after the retailer issued an upbeat profit forecast and reported robust results in the first half. ITV jumped 15.1%, after the broadcaster forecasted its advertising revenue to new records this year. AstraZeneca rose 1.0%, after the drugmaker revealed plans to create a separate division for vaccines and antibody therapies. On the other hand, J.D. Wetherspoon declined 7.2%, after the pub chain reported a decline in its sales in the first fifteen weeks of the year. Aveva Group fell 3.6%, after the software group reported wider than expected losses in the first half of the year. The FTSE 100 gained 0.9%, to close at 7,340.2, while the FTSE 250 rose 0.3%, to end at 23,433.3. . Europe Market Also closed higher yesterday, amid strong corporate earnings reports in the Euro-zone. Alstom climbed9.8%, after the train maker forecasted a progressive recovery of operating profits in 2021 and 2022. Continental rose 1.8%, after the company swung to a profit in the third quarter. On the flipside, LEONI declined 13.4%, even though the company maintained its annual outlook. Adidas fell 3.7%, after the sportswear company reported lower than expected sales in the third quarter. Credit Agricole shed 1.9%, even though the lender reported higher than expected third quarter profit. Infineon Technologies slid 1.2%, despite reporting a jump in its revenue in the fourth quarter. The FTSEurofirst 300 index gained 0.3%, to close at 1,871.7. Among other European markets, the German DAX Xetra 30 rose 0.2%, to close at 16,067.8, while the French CAC-40 marginally advanced to settle at 7,045.2. . US Market Closed lower yesterday, after the US consumer price inflation jumped to its highest level in three decades. Poshmark plunged 29.0%, after the company reported lower than expected revenue in the third quarter. FuboTV sank 23.1%, after the company reported weaker than anticipated results in the third quarter. Coinbase Global declined 8.1%, after the company reported dismal third quarter earnings. Palantir Technologies dropped 7.1%, after a top broker downgraded its rating on the stock to โ€˜Underperformโ€™ from โ€˜Sector Performโ€™. On the other hand, DoorDash jumped 11.6%, after the food delivery platform announced the acquisition of international delivery platform, Wolt for a consideration of $8.1 billion. Unity Software rose 2.8%, after the company reported better than expected revenue and earnings in the third quarter and lifted its annual outlook. The S&P 500 slipped 0.8%, to settle at 4,646.7. The DJIA fell 0.7%, to settle at 36,079.9, while the NASDAQ dropped 1.7%, to close at 15,622.7. . Asia Market Weโ€™re trading mostly lower this morning, amid concerns over rising inflation. In Japan, JTEKT and Secom have advanced 2.8% and 3.1%, respectively. Meanwhile, Inpex and Unitika have dropped 2.2% and 2.5%, respectively. In Hong Kong, Alibaba Group Holding and Tencent Holdings have fallen 1.2% and 2.9%, respectively. Meanwhile, CITIC and China Resources Land have risen 2.1% and 4.9%, respectively. In South Korea, Cosmax BTI and PaperCorea have declined 6.2% and 7.0%, respectively. Meanwhile, Krafton and NCsoft have climbed 9.0% and 29.6%, respectively. The Nikkei 225 index is trading 0.5% higher at 29,257.3. The Hang Seng index is trading 0.2% down at 24,958.3, while the Kospi index is trading 0.5% lower at 2,915.4.

Meanwhile, Mitsui E&S Holdings and Taiyo Yuden have advanced 3.2% and 3.3%, respectively. In Hong Kong, Techtronic Industries and Industrial & Commercial Bank of China have fallen 0.8% and 0.9%, respectively. Meanwhile, Shenzhou International Group Holdings and WH Group have risen 0.5% and 0.6%, respectively. In South Korea, Chonbang and Cosmax BTI have declined 5.8% and 6.1%, respectively.
