@vcline3 Hi and happy to help:-) First as explained in the program it is really important to find out what you enjoy and what suits your personality and what does not. Some trades never take to scalping as they find it too stressful and requires you to concentrate for periods of the day with no distractions, so this does not suit everybody. And this is the second point - the time you have available. We have the luxury of choosing how much time we spend in front of the screens every day, but others are not so fortunate and have other responsibilities, so you have to find what works for you from a trading perspective and lifestyle. Not easy:-) Remember also the costs of scalping are significantly higher as you trade multiple times a day. That said, some traders, ourselves included do both. We have long-term positions which are more akin to investments for example which run for weeks and months. At other times we are scalpers using different accounts, but bottom line - find out what you are comfortable doing first. One thing I urge you to do is this - you MUST open a live account and start trading real money - 1 x micro-lot - all explained in the program. A demo will not teach you anything other than how to use the platform. The only way to learn is with real money but the smallest lot size possible. Finally, the difference between the CM and CA is lookback periods. The CM is 7 I think from memory and so works very close to the price action, while the CA looks back over a MUCH longer period. That's why I said the CM was more of a scalping tool and the CA more swing/trend. And please use as many of the indicators as you find helpful as you get started.

@vcline3 Hi - we developed the indicators to help in delivering information in a fast and intuative way to help with trading decisions. They do not replace anything and are always used in conjunction with the charts to confirm what you are seeing or to help in overcoming emotions such as with the trend monitor for example which was developed with one idea in mind. To stop you from exiting too early and give you the confidence to stay in a position. You can think of this as the stabilizers on a bicycle as you learn to ride. In the future you may have enough confidence to no longer need this indicator, but as you learn to control your emotions in an open position you most certainly will. To take another example with support and resistance - yes you can create these levels manually but it's much easier with the indicator. The same with volatility. Yes you can see it and probably get a good idea of when it applies to a candle, but the signal arrives in real-time so gives you a confirmation immediately. I could go through all the indicators one by one but as Nick says, you will settle on a bundle which you find helpful in your own trading and focus on those. For example, if you are a scalping trader them the CM and CSI will be more appropriate and the CA and CH less so. If you are a swing trader and longer-term then the CA and CH might be more helpful. In terms of our own trading, we use some more than others as we have removed the stabilisers and are confident in our decision making which is based on the charts along with the relational and fundamental aspects of markets.

@genpow1 @benedictdanny02 Good morning both and many thanks danny as you are spot on - the CM is based on a much shorter lookback period and the CA much longer - you can think if it is terms of the trends indicator ( close to price action ) and trend monitor slower - longer term - same sort of principles apply here - CM for scalping and CA for trends long er term

29 gennaio 1886 - Nasce l’automobile.

The snowfall totals are expected to be record-challenging, too. In fact, the National Weather Service (NWS) has already issued winter weather advisories for large portions of the west this week. The Lake Tahoe area, for example, was to expect a foot+ (30+ cm) of snow in the upper elevations between 4PM Monday through 7AM Tuesday, while as much as 20 inches (half a meter) was to hit the surrounding mountains–above 7,000 feet (2,133 meters). The weather service warned that tree limbs could be blown down and that power outages are possible. Looking ahead, and to next week’s polar outbreak, far greater totals are on the cards, and across a much wider area, too: GFS Total Snowfall (inches) Nov 9 – Nov 25 [tropicaltidbits.com]. Again, this is worth keeping a very close-eye on. Thanksgiving could be historically cold and snowy this year as winter 2021-22 begins early — stay tuned for updates. Furthermore, these totals will of course also add to the ‘Northern Hemisphere Total Snow Mass Chart’, maintained by the Finnish Meteorological Institute, which is already tracking comfortably-above the 1982-2012 average:

@karewingwong Hi many thanks for posting and happy to help and explain - the two indicators have very different lookback periods if you check in the settings for each indicator. The CM is short and the CA is long. You can think of the two indicators as Trends and Trend Monitor - one works very close to the market price action ( CM) and the other takes a 'longer term ' perspective, so you would use them in combination in this way. The CM will move quikcly reflecting changes in trend and matrix sentiment at the live edge, the CA gives a stepped back view which smoothes out pullnbacks and reversals etc

Morning @TraderJo - the figures on the CSI relate to where the currency is in relation to the top and bottom - ie 0 to 100 OB or OS maximums. The CM and Heatmap derive their data through an algo which matches one currency pair against another and deliveres the numbers with zero as the fulcrum or bearish or bullish and negative or positive. The data calcs are the same for the cells in the CM but then these are weighted for the ranking table on the LHS according to the weight of each timeframe which is greater for slower and lesser for faster. On the Tradestation version of the CS we have added levels which show everage and all time high to give you a yardstick. You can read about this over on labs.quantumtrading.com - this will be added to CM on other platforms in due course - hope this helps David
