Papa, just a suggestion, ask you questions in the Premium Trading Room as that is where everyone is, I just happened to see your post pop up. In order of your question.....SPY....QQQ...DIA. There are others, for example the SPX, but because of the size of the contract it may not be appropriate for you as you start out. You need to define the time frame for your trades, strictly a scalp/daytrade, a swing trade for 4-6 days, are you selling spreads, etc, as this will drive the DTE you trade. You will want to trade the high volume strikes most of the time, that will normally be the at the money strike, though with the SPY you can be several strikes either side of ATM and still have good volume. There are lots of other nuances of options, ask in the trading room, others will help.
