I've just been browsing InteractiveBrokers website (www.interactivebrokers.ca), apparently the required minimums are $0 for Individual/Joint/Trust/Org Accounts there at the moment (unless I'm looking at the wrong account type).

Hi ks68, I'm from Canada as well and I use TC2000 for my charting platform and Interactive Brokers for my brokerage account. IB had a $10,000usd minimum deposit for a margin account when I first opened one years ago.

Hi everyone, my name is Kuldeep, it's my first appearance on this chatroom. Just join the options trading program with Barry. Not sure if someone can help me with choosing the Charting platform.... I live in Canada but apparently to activate ThinkorSwim there is a minimum account balance ($25,000) required. Not sure if there's a way around not having to keep this minimum amount? Does TC2000 have such requirements? Any idea which one is a better option?

Hi everyone just wondering has anyone been looking at USD/JPY I think its very interesting from a fundemental POV as fundamentals are playing a big part in the current market conditions we've seen over the last few months. I wrote a small piece myself of USD/JPY and thought Id share it with the group to see if anyone else has been watching it, I would just like to add this is very much a medium/long term trade one I would be looking to hold for at least 2 months and still alot of uncertainty as rate hikes have already been priced in but due to uncertainty surrounding geo political and supply chain events has the potential to develop over the coming months.

Hi David, thanks for your feedback. Good analogy. Indeed, I'm trying to focus on two simple signals, then confirmed with everything else. Although, for reversals, which I know you say are the hardest but I feel comfortable with that.

Hi Marcel Many thanks for your note and happy to help, and what you are experiencing at the moment is perfectly normal. Whenver we learn anything new it can be overwhelming and I suspect that in watching the vidoes it is rather like riding a bike with the stabilzers and you feel confident and can follow the analysis clearly. As soon as these are removed you feel all at sea, and it's perfectly normal. It can take months or years to get to the level where you see everything clearly and instantly and there is nothing in the charts that will have changed from one year to another, so - no there is no change in the price action at all. It is the same as it has always been, and what I would suggest is you take one or two simple signals to start with which are easy to spot and will build up your confidence and then gradually add other signals. The analogy we often use is in driving a car - remember your first driving lesson - it all seems clear then panic sets in as you are asked to pull away from the kerb - it's the same here. So break it down into simple components and focus on a couple or so. This should help to give you the framework for moving forward and adding more - hope this helps - David
