When Arthur and I decided to ice-break swing trades in Jan-2022 , I was a bit intrigued . I wanted to explore the universal system scales before , but I had decided to wait for an action project to pass the demand . Also had in mind the exploration for after account growth with the 110 point scale . With our current scale , and 3 other archived strategies , we do not need to explore deeper into the system . I do believe that it is possible to further refine the FX-UST . But , all about timing into the market , not modification of set numbers . I really liked my early market drive this morning . Even though I was a bit tired and heavy on errands , the price pattern had a very vivid feel in looks . As if there was nothing else to look into , I know what that means . That we can drive , a drive that my previous system can not provide , because in 8 hours to 110 points or more there may be pressure on time , if you have 3 active entries running . The attention level on the monitor is high , and I do not like to feel pressurize . There is really no pressure with FX-UST , there is plenty of time to think , and at least a few hours to determine if a trade should close , be protected , or trail it . Looks like we have a content analyst 🧭 . I was expecting to get my scales a bit upgraded , just had no true set time as to when . Thanks to the team members here for pushing . The most amazing thing is that I created the 110 point system with 40% to 50% per month return as the target . But it could take 5 to 7 tadesto erase a stop loss . Even though the wining percentage is high , I don't like this . With FX-UST we can erase a stop loss in one single trade or two , 3 at most . Even more important , at 8% risk per entry , and in 10 trades in one week we can make 40% return on any number . Give it a few more days and a few more trades , and in 10 working days we can have a solid 50% return on the account . So the original target doubled to 100% to 120% per month . The execution is to use the 110 point strat as a day entertainer , with a target of 20% at end of month . Passing very safe numbers . And , using FX-UST as a hammer and target 60% per month . After running 10 days of successful trading , reasonable to modify these targets to 30 and 90% respectively . This will pass our portfolio total account protection , by aiming for a 50% monthly return on the first half of each month , and them using those half profits to hit around 75 to 100% at end of the same month . Truly a utility .

By Roslan Khasawneh SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Oil prices climbed on Friday, extending sharp gains in the previous session as frigid weather swept across large swathes of the United States, threatening to further disrupt oil supplies. Brent crude rose 42 cents, or 0.5%, to $91.53 a barrel by 0745 GMT, after rising $1.16 on Thursday. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude rose 52 cents, or 0.6%, to $90.79 a barrel, having gained $2.01 the previous day to settle above $90 for the first time since Oct. 6, 2014. Both benchmarks are headed for their seventh straight weekly gain. "WTI crude surged over the $90 level after an Arctic blast made its way to Texas and disrupted some oil production in the Permian Basin," said Edward Moya, senior market analyst at OANDA. A massive winter storm swept across the central and Northeast United States on Thursday where it was delivering heavy snow and ice, making travel treacherous if not impossible, knocking out power to thousands and closing schools in several states. Tight oil supplies pushed the six-month market structure for WTI into steep backwardation of $8.08 a barrel on Friday, 7 cents shy of an eight-year high of $8.15 on Nov. 29. Backwardation occurs when prices for prompt spot trade are at a premium to future prices, and usually encourages traders to take oil out of storage. As recovering demand is outpacing supply, oil markets are increasingly vulnerable to supply interruptions, analysts said. "Even as thousands of flights are cancelled, the energy market is fixated over production and not so much short-term demand shocks," said Moya. Geopolitical tensions in Eastern Europe and the Middle East have also fuelled oil's sharp gains which have pushed Brent and WTI futures up by about 18% and 21%, respectively, so far this year. The United States warned that Russia was planning to use a staged attack as justification for invading Ukraine. Russia's President Vladimir Putin has blamed NATO and the West for increased tensions, even as he has moved thousands of troops near to Ukraine's border. "With geopolitical risk in Ukraine and only gradual increase of production by OPEC+, prices are expected to head toward $100 a barrel," Chiyoki Chen, chief analyst at Sunward Trading said. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and allies led by Russia, known as OPEC+, agreed earlier this week to stick to moderate rises of 400,000 barrels per day (bpd) in oil output with the group already struggling to meet existing targets and despite pressure from top consumers to raise production more quickly. Over the medium term, however, some analysts expect the oil market to flip into surplus as soon as next quarter, helping put the brakes on the recent surge in prices. "We expect the sequential trend of quarterly global stock draws will flip to inventory builds as soon as 2Q’22, and sustain for the next 15-18 months," analysts at Citi Research said in a note late on Thursday. "Our view is for a tight crude oil market to shift to surplus outright and in terms of days of demand cover."

By Julia Payne and Noah Browning LONDON (Reuters) -Oil prices jumped on Wednesday, closing in on a seven-year high, after OPEC+ stuck to its planned output increase despite pressure from top consumers to raise production more quickly. An OPEC+ source told Reuters that the producer group agreed to increase oil production by 400,000 bpd from March after a short meeting. Brent crude was up 43 cents, or 0.5%, at $89.59 a barrel by 1446 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude rose 47 cents, also up 0.5%, to $88.67. Tight oil supplies and geopolitical tensions in Eastern Europe and the Middle East have boosted oil prices by about 15% this year. On Friday crude benchmarks hit their highest since October 2014, with Brent touching $91.70 and U.S. crude hitting $88.84. "Bearish EIA statistics this afternoon might be used as an excuse for profit-taking. Unless the weather warms and Ukraine tensions are settled, oil should remain supported," said PVM Oil Associates analyst Tamas Varga, adding that cold weather in the United States should also support prices. A major winter storm is expected to wallop much of the central United States and stretch to parts of the Northeast this week, bringing heavy snow, freezing rain, and ice, the National Weather Service said on Monday. The storm comes days after a deadly winter blast. U.S. crude stocks fell by 1.6 million barrels for the week ended Jan. 28, against analysts' estimate of an increase of 1.5 million barrels, according to market sources citing American Petroleum Institute figures on Tuesday. But gasoline inventories rose by 5.8 million barrels, above analysts' expectations for a 1.6 million barrel build. The Energy Information Administration, the statistical arm of the U.S. Department of Energy, is due to release fresh weekly data later on Wednesday.[EIA/S] Tensions between Russia and the West also underpinned crude prices. Russia, the world's second-largest oil producer, and the West have been at loggerheads over Ukraine, fanning fears that energy supplies to Europe could be disrupted. On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the West of deliberately creating a scenario designed to lure it into war and ignoring Russia's security concerns over Ukraine.

huge build up of artic ice in some places more than long term averages already this early in winter. Ice sheet coverage above normals. Thursday, October 28, 2021 Futures Up/Down % Last Dow 54.00 0.15% 35,443 S&P 500 11.25 0.26% 4,556 Nasdaq 74.50 0.47% 15.662 U.S. futures are looking at a rebound after a late day swoon erased record gains for stocks, as markets again await another earnings barrage, with yesterday and today the two busiest days of the quarter. Drama out of Washington D.C. also adding to the volatility as investors remain hopeful on a spending bill. As for Wednesday, a midday all-time high for the Nasdaq 100 was marred by a late day sell-off in U.S. stocks, as the S&P 500 and Dow each retreated from records set just the previous day, led by weakness in energy stocks as oil prices tumbled from 7-year highs and long-dated Treasury yields also slumped, with the 30-year falling as much as 10bps below 2%. Corporate earnings have generally been better-than-expected, but constant reminders about rising costs, supply-chain issues, and labor shortages on conference calls brings into question the strength of markets going forward. Couple that with expectations for the Fed to begin its asset tapering plans in November and chances of interest rate hikes in mid-2022 to help prevent inflation getting further out of hand remains a market concern. Shares of Dow components McDonald’s, Coca-Cola and Microsoft rallied behind strong earnings. In fact, the Nasdaq outperformed behind large cap winners (TSLA, GOOGL MSFT, AMZN), though breadth was decisively negative and SmallCaps plunged with the Russell 200 falling nearly 2%. President Biden’s infrastructure and social-spending plans still remain “up-in-the-air” which also adds uncertainty.
