recentlyHere's an example Python code using pandas and numpy libraries to read data from an Excel file containing daily stock market data and calculate the % chance of a reversal based on TRIN and NYMO indicators: python Copy code import pandas as pd import numpy as np # Read data from Excel file data = pd.read_excel('stock_data.xlsx') # Extract TRIN, NYMO, and daily price data trin = data['TRIN'] nymo = data['NYMO'] open_price = data['Open'] close_price = data['Close'] high_price = data['High'] low_price = data['Low'] # Calculate the difference between the open and close prices price_diff = close_price - open_price # Calculate the % change in price price_change = price_diff / open_price * 100 # Calculate the % change in TRIN and NYMO trin_change = (trin - trin.shift(1)) / trin.shift(1) * 100 nymo_change = (nymo - nymo.shift(1)) / nymo.shift(1) * 100 # Define a function to determine whether a reversal is likely def is_reversal(trin_change, nymo_change, price_change): if trin_change < -2 and nymo_change < -2 and price_change > 0: return True elif trin_change > 2 and nymo_change > 2 and price_change < 0: return True else: return False # Calculate the % chance of a reversal reversal_chance = np.mean([is_reversal(trin_change[i], nymo_change[i], price_change[i]) for i in range(len(data))]) * 100 # Print the % chance of a reversal print('The % chance of a reversal is:', reversal_chance) This code assumes that the Excel file "stock_data.xlsx" contains columns named "TRIN", "NYMO", "Open", "Close", "High", and "Low" which contain the corresponding data for each day. The code calculates the difference between the open and close prices, the % change in price, and the % change in TRIN and NYMO for each day. It then defines a function to determine whether a reversal is likely based on the values of TRIN, NYMO, and the price change. Finally, it calculates the % chance of a reversal by taking the mean of the function over all days and multiplying by 100.

Stocks are recovering despite a handful of negative headlines this weekend including a WSJ article that House Dems are considering a 26.5% corporate tax rate from 21.5% with a 3% surtax on individual incomes over $3m, & increasing higher rate capital gains tax to 28.8% from 23.8%. Also this weekend, Sen. Joe Manchin said this weekend he would not vote for the $3.5 trillion budget bill, adding that there’s “no way” to meet the September 27 deadline. In Asian markets, The Nikkei Index gained 65 points to 30,447, the Shanghai Index rose 12 points to 3,715 and the Hang Seng Index dropped -392 points (1.5%) to settle at 25,813. The S&P 500 has rallied over 38% without a 5%+ pullback over the last 309 calendar days. With the European Central Bank offering only a partial tapering of its bond purchases last week, while boosting growth forecasts, investors are now looking at an autumn glide path for stocks based on a similar move by the Federal Reserve later this month. recentlyFriday, September 3, 2021 The long holiday weekend is upon us (back-to-school), with U.S. stock futures steadily higher ahead of the all-important August payroll report, a closely watched data point to see when the Federal Reserve might unveil its plans to begin withdrawing its massive pandemic-era stimulus. Economists are looking for a reading of +728K nonfarm payrolls (vs. +943K in July), +665K private payrolls (vs. +703K in July), and +25K manufacturing payrolls (vs. +27K in July); the unemployment rate expected to drop to 5.2% from 5.4%, while average hourly earnings estimated to rise +0.3% MoM and +4.0% Yoy. Stocks pared gains after the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite notched all-time highs Thursday with energy and health-care shares leading the charge, as oil prices touched their highest levels in about a month back above $70 per barrel. Yesterday bright spots included Smallcaps and Transports as well with tech mixed. It now remains to be seen if markets will put the pedal-to-the-metal, or sharply reverse, with Friday’s much anticipated August employment report.
