Materials and some consumer products are getting a boost after the U.S. and European Union reached a trade truce on steel and aluminum tariffs over the weekend. The two sides were working hard to reach a deal before Dec. 1, when the European retaliatory tariffs were set to double; the 25% tariffs will apply to EU exports beyond 3.3 million tons, Bloomberg reported. The EU agreed to drop retaliatory tariffs on U.S. motorcycles, jeans and bourbon whiskey per Bloomberg (shares of names like HOG looking higher). Earnings optimism also continues to offset concern over a near-term move on tapering from the Federal Reserve that could add to signals of slowing growth in the supply chain-snarled economy, ahead of the FOMC meeting later this week. In Asian markets, The Nikkei Index rose 2.6% or over 750 points to 29,647, the Shanghai Index slipped a few points to 3,544 and the Hang Seng Index dropped -0.88% or over 200 points to 25,154. In Europe, the German DAX is up about 135 points to 15,825, while the FTSE 100 gains +0.5% to 7,275. Questi dati non prendono in considerazione i risultati di Fca dal primo al 16 gennaio 2021, data in cui e' diventata effettiva la fusione con Psa. Per quanto riguarda i dati pro-forma, ovvero considerando i risultati dal primo gennaio 2021 e paragonandoli con quelli aggregati del 2021, il gruppo automobilistico nel primo trimestre ha registrato ricavi per 37 miliardi di euro (+14%), consegne consolidate pari a 1.567.000 unita' (+11%) e consegne complessive per 1.618.000 unita' (+12%).

FIAT CHRYSLER - Stellantis, le assemblee approvano la fusione 05/01/2021 09:51 WS FATTO Ieri le assemblee di FCA e di PSA hanno approvato quasi all’unanimità la fusione tra i due gruppi. Si trattava dell’ultimo step rilevante necessario per dare origine a Stellantis. Anche tutti i punti all’ordine del giorno sono stati approvati, come lo statuto di Stellantis e la nomina dei membri del CdA. Il closing è atteso per il 16 gennaio. Le azioni inizieranno a negoziare sull’MTA e Euronext il 18 gennaio, e al NYSE il 19 gennaio. Nel caso di FCA, è stata approvata anche la distribuzione del dividendo straordinario da 1,84 euro per azione (2,9 miliardi in totale). Se gli ultimi passi in preparazione della fusione (i quali appaiono come formalità) saranno eseguiti con successo, l’ex-date del dividendo sarà il 14 gennaio, record date il 15 gennaio, mentre il pagamento verrà effettuato solo in favore degli azionisti Stellantis derivanti da FCA, dopo il completamento della fusione.
