Some also see the spread of the Covid-19 delta variant as delaying rather than stopping the economic recovery. The New York Times reported overnight that the FDA plans to give full approval to Pfizer (PFE) and BioNTech (BNTX) coronavirus vaccine by the start of the next month. Earnings season has been strong with about 87% of S&P 500 companies reporting earnings and revenue beats, according to FactSet. Just under 70% of the S&P 500 now has reported earnings.
