Major indexes rose for a third straight session on Thursday as investors looked past mixed weaker data showing a rise in first-time claims for unemployment benefits last week. In Asian markets, The Nikkei Index rose 159 points to 27,548, the Shanghai Index fell -24 points to 3,550, and the Hang Seng Index drops over 400 points (1.45%) to settle at 27,321. In Europe, the German DAX is up over 150 points (about 1%) to 15,665, while the FTSE 100 gains over 50 to 7,025.
