regards $VRM @Navneet if you were interested i would say now was a better time to buy. The new CEO(installed last qtr) wass COO AND BEFORE THAT TOP OPS GUY AT wALMART. has Moved from GROWTH MODEL TO TRYING TO MAKE A PROFIT so revenue predicted at $2 bill this year as against $3.5 bill 21 but they have $533 mill in cash, no debts to pay back soon and are projecting $500 mill in cash end of 2022 and comapny on even keel. If they can then make 5% profit on turnover well its a $100mill profits... so conservative $1-$2 bill makt cap .... current price $ 240 mill Mkt cap. So that the upside if all goes well. I actually think once opex is out of the way it could rally. Seems to me this guy has a decent plan and it probably $3-$4 company until he either fails or succeeds ....just my thoughts

@navneet I would leave $VRM well alone, it's super cheap but there are reasons. I have some but my average is way lower so I will let it ride, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a train wreck, but it could also be gangbusters given its very low valuation ????

well i dont know the 2nd hand care sales business all that well, they manage to produce huge looses though, but maybe thats a function of growth at all costs and they can do better. But CVNA trades at 0.42 x sales and 7.8 x cash. $VRM sells at 0.06 x sales and 0.17 x cash. Now i dont know wether that industry survives but $VRM has far more upside in my eyes

@DROS yes i did see it on $CVNA. i mean i think you could do a pairs trade in $VRM and $CVNA just because one is selling at about 7 x less in sales terms so if they both go to zero you make out and if VRM manages to resurrect itself it ccould cut the multiple difference

nAVNEET, its haemorrhaging cash like its going out of fashion, i was stupid enough to buy some $VRm 0n some option nonsense a month or so ago, i have a look at the industry since and to be honest it looks dreadful, maybe terminal, $cvna HAS TAKEN A DUMP AND IS SELLING AT ABOUT 0.5 x sales, but a similar but smaller company with a plan to turn business around and $600 mil cash is $VRM selling at 0.06 x sales. That could be wehere CVNA is going or maybe they meet in the middle once the market recovers but much better buys around at the moment IMO

$CVNA will buy $VRM.... like its obviously speculation...but why are folks buying massive amounts of VRM $5 calls and $CVnA may $240 calls. The stocks are $2.15 and $104 respectively as off today

the reason this makes sense is because $vrm is trading at 1/10 sales and CVNA is trading at 1.6 x sales so 16 x more expensive. Both companies cruising for a bruising if they dont consolidate and adding vrm sales at even 3 x current share price would make CVNA WORTH MUCH MORE...WATCH THIS SPACE AND DONT TELL ME I DIDNT LET YOU IN ON IT 🤓

what follows is utter speculation.... $CVNA and $VRM are both in a similar business, flogging 2nd hand cars etc. CVNA IS WORTH $19BLN and has sales of 12.8 bln ...... VRM HAS SALES OF $3.2bln and a market cap of $300mill..... On the 4th of march a director in CVNA INVESTED $2.6 MILL IN STOCK IN HIS COMPANY....ON THE 4TH 5 TH AND 7TH mARCH a director in VRM bought $450 mill in stock..... i have seen some crazy options being bought in both companies since APRIL AND mAY $5 in VRM and May $240S IN cvna ..... I think CVNA buys VRM for stock

Upside momentum continues with S&P futures edging higher, looking to make it a 9th straight day of gains overall, and the Nasdaq Composite looking at an 11th straight day of advances, with no signs of caution by investors heading into key inflation data today and tomorrow. The producer price index (PPI) for October is expected at 8:30 AM, and the consumer price index (CPI) tomorrow, but still no concerns exhibited in the bond market with the 10-year yield at its lowest level in 2-weeks around 1.45%, while gold prices are steady at $1,829 an ounce. The S&P 500 closed at an all-time high for the eighth consecutive session last night, extending the longest winning streak since 1997, as investors added the impact of $1 trillion in fresh government stimulus. That coupled with removed travel lockdowns, a strong earnings season, and positive vaccine news has boosted stocks over the last month. In Asian markets, The Nikkei Index fell -0.75% to 29.285, the Shanghai Index gained 0.24% to settle at 3,507 and the Hang Seng Index rose 0.2% to 24,813. In Europe, the German DAX is up 45 points to 16,090, while the FTSE 100 rise 0.2% to 7,313. Stocks keep pushing higher, making new all time highs each day the past week for the Dow, Nasdaq, S&P 500 and Russell 2000. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 U.S. equity futures are looking mixed to slightly higher despite the cautious tone heading into the start of the third quarter earnings season with a focus on surging energy prices, faster inflation and their combined effect on growth prospects in the world’s biggest economies. Stock markets slumped in the final hour of the trading day Monday, with major averages finishing at the session lows as the Dow fell 0.72%, the S&P 500 was down 0.69%, and the Nasdaq moved down 0.64%. Overnight, Asian markets fell amid news that indebted China property giant Evergrande had missed a third coupon payment in as many weeks, reigniting concerns that its collapse could trigger contagion in regional bond markets. Bond markets reopen after being closed for the Columbus Day holiday, with the 10-year yield holding around the 1.6% level. Oil prices are trading near seven-year highs amid a global power crunch. In Asian markets, The Nikkei Index dropped -267 points to 28.230, the Shanghai Index fell -45 points to 3,546, and the Hang Seng Index declined -362 points (1.43%) to 24,962. China Evergrande Group once again misses payment on the firm’s 9.5% note due 2022 and its 10% bond due 2023. Also adding to concerns, Shanghai-based developer Sinic Holdings Group said that it doesn’t expect to pay the principal or interest due Oct 18 for a $250 mln bond not helping Asian sentiment.
